Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be injured in order to be seen?

Absolutely not! If you feel like you have any physical limitations preventing you from performing your absolute best in your sport, activity, or everyday life, you can definitely benefit from our services. We do not simply treat injuries. We believe in a pro-active approach that reduces the chance of injury.

Do I need a referral or prescription from a doctor?

You DO NOT need a referral or prescription as Colorado is a Direct Access* state for physical therapy services.

*if submitting superbills to insurance, some plans may require a referral for reimbursement.

Do you take insurance?

We are considered an out-of-network provider with all insurances. While we do collect our fees directly from our clients, we provide an itemized treatment receipt (superbill) for you to submit to your insurance. You may be eligible for reimbursement depending on your insurance’s out-of-network benefits.

Why is Power-Up Physical Therapy Out-of-Network?

Insurance companies in the United States continue to cut reimbursement for physical therapy services and dictate how clinicians treat patients. Most in-network PT clinics are forced to treat multiple patients per hour and pass off patient care by utilizing assistants and aides to complete visits.

At Power-Up Physical Therapy, we pride ourselves in providing the highest quality care. We decide how treatment is provided as we are not regulated by insurance companies. Our clients receive exceptional one-on-one treatment with their Doctor of Physical Therapy for the entire hour for every visit. This increase in quality results in our clients progressing more quickly than the traditional in-network model. We understand that your time is valuable!

What Forms of Payment Do You accept?

You can pay with credit/debit cards, cash or check. You can also use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA).
